VS-Pro

High-Performance Network Video CODEC Systems

VS-Pro™ Network Video CODECs

VS-Pro Network Video CODECs enable high performance, realtime MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 Video/Audio distribution over a broad variety of standard network topologies, such as IP, ATM, T1, T3 and ISDN.

Typical applications include:

  • Distance Learning
  • High-quality video conferencing
  • Digital Content Distribution
  • Industrial Surveillance
  • VOD (Video on Demand)

The VS-Pro features include:

  • Multichannel MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 Audio/Video Capture, Compression, Transmission, Reception and Playback
  • Support for Data Rates From 56Kb/s to 15Mb/s
  • A Wide Range of Video Resolutions
  • Unicast, Multi-unicast, Multicast or Broadcast Modes

VS-Pro Network Video CODECs are remotely controlled and managed by common PC's over Local-or-Wide-Area-Networks. Optivision's LiveSystem™ Network Manager or mpegStudio® Pro application software can control and manage any number of VS-Pro systems from a single management workstation. The SNMP MIB may be used to develop or integrate custom management solutions, such as HP OpenView™.

VS-Pro Network Video CODECs are fully scalable from 1 to 5 independent broadcast or receiver channels, from low-data-rate MPEG-1 compression to full broadcast quality MPEG-2 at up to 15Mb/s per channel. Leverage your investment into future markets by purchasing the features you need today, and upgrade when your business demands it.

This unique combination of power, flexibility, and simplicity enables you to rapidly integrate VS-Pro Network Video CODECs into your existing end-to-end Network Management and Video Distribution solutions.
