Optivision products provide the key components required for delivering industry standard MPEG digital video for use in a wide range of broadband Internet applications as illustrated in the network diagram below. These applications require a combination of real time and on-demand video transport using mixed vendor computer data networks and eliminates the expense and inconvenience of implementing and supporting a separate video network. Broadband Internet video applications are demanding higher quality video than is provided by “video conference” quality products to create a more compelling user experience. Optivision products deliver full resolution streaming, multicasted, and stored video without “jerky, blotchy, or blurry” motion and high quality synchronized audio for network video applications.

NAC-3000

NAC-3000

Real-time Streaming Video for IP Networks

Optivision's NAC-3000 series is the perfect solution for video networking applications which require low cost, high quality, dynamic and scalable MPEG video capture, encoding and network transmission.

Specifically designed for ease-of-use as a network appliance, the NAC-3000's utilize Optivision's mpegNet streaming engine to support IP multicasting, and a broad range of MPEG profiles and video resolutions. They also interoperate with Optivision's existing network video products, including the LiveSystem Network Management and the LiveWare or LivePlayer desktop MPEG viewer.

The NAC-3000 encoders are available in three configurations: MPEG-1 for low bandwidth needs, MPEG-2 for interactive low latency applications and MPEG-2 full resolution for applications requiring full broadcast quality.

NAC-3000

NAC-3000D-DVB

MPEG Video Encoder for DVB-ASI Networks

Optivision’s NAC™3000D-DVB is the perfect solution for streaming MPEG1 or MPEG2 video for mobile, satellite or cable TV applications requiring a DVB-ASI interface. The NAC-3000D-DVB is available with either AC or 12v DC input power and provides the smallest footprint, lowest power consumption and quietest operation of any product in its category.

NAC 4000

NAC-4000

MPEG Video over IP Decoder

Optivision's NAC-4000 series is our first network attached MPEG video over IP decoder.  It receives and decodes mpegNet generated video streams from Optivision network video products. The NAC-4000 is compatible with all Optivision streaming video products, including the NAC-3000 series, VS-PRO series, and LiveSystem product lines.

The NAC-3000 and NAC-4000 series products provide the smallest footprint, lowest power consumption and quietest operation of any matched set of codecs in the market.

VS-PRO

For Real-time Video Streaming and Store-and-Forward Applications

Optivision’s VS-PRO is a high-performance network video codec system which enables multichannel real-time MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 video/audio distribution over a broad variety of standard network topologies. The VS-PRO is designed to maximize the flexibility and performance of our video encoding platform as well as to provide a single platform  for mpegNet and mpegStudio.

Livesystem

LiveSystem

Broadcast Quality MPEG Video over Standard Networks

LiveSystem transmits and receives live MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 video and audio over Ethernet, ATM/OC3, V.35, RS449/530 and T1.  LiveSystem allows for virtually any combination of single or multi-channel, point-to-point or multi-point transmission, reception or both, and features simultaneous storage of MPEG video to network attached servers. LiveSystem is available in both MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 configurations.

LivePlayer

LIVEPLAYER

Network Streaming/Stored Video Player

LivePlayer is a network streaming/stored video player. It supports Optivision mpegNet generated video streams and receives and plays “true” streaming video on a Windows compatible desktop PC. It operates as a standalone application under Windows.  Users can also separate the video window from LivePlayer and simultaneously run other desktop applications in new windows.  In addition, users may also enable or disable the display of any GUI fields for the perfect look and feel. The perfect audio/video synchronization over long playing streaming video content is not matched by any known competitor.

Livesystem

LiveWare

Client/Server Application for Building Video Enabled Intranets

LiveWare is a fully integrated client/server application for building video enabled Intranets. LiveWare allows Windows PCs to receive live or stored video from anywhere on the network using either software or hardware decoding. LiveWare can also control and manage any number of LiveSystems on the network, and save live video to local or remote disk.

The control software for LiveWare and LiveSystem is built on a robust set of Java classes, so that users can quickly develop custom video network applications for distance learning, video surveillance, video-on-demand, and others.

LIVESYSTEM NETWORK MANAGEMENT

Management Software for MPEG Video Distribution Systems

LiveSystem Network Management is a management and control software component used to configure, control and managed one or more network attached MPEG video distribution systems. It is a Java based SNMP manager built around the Optivision Enterprise MIB. When installed on a network attached computer, LiveSystem Network Management is capable of automatically detecting Optivision systems on the network, and remote configuring of Optivision systems.

VS-2311B

High Performance MPEG Video Recorder, Store-and-Forward System

Optivision’s VS-2311B MPEG Video Recorder/Players provide scalable, broadcast- quality MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 production for store-and-forward applications at a fraction of the cost of competitive systems.

The VS-2311B’s unique scalable, networked architecture builds on the power of the standard VS-PRO system and allows you to easily upgrade to MPEG production systems of any size and performance - from desktop to large-scale high-throughput solutions.

Included with the VS-2311B is Optivision's mpegStudio 4.0 software. This client/server application allows for the creation, storage and network transport of MPEG video files.
