NAC 3000

The Next Generation in Networked Video

NAC™-3000 Series

The NAC-3000 series of codecs are the latest addition to the Optivision family of network video systems. The NAC-3000 is an Ethernet-based MPEG codec and is specifically designed for video network applications, including:

  • Conferencing
  • Distance Learning
  • Corporate Communications
  • Training
  • Security/Surveillance

The NAC-3000 features include:

  • A Small Profile (half-width 1RU)
  • Increased Scalability (MPEG-1 QSIF through MPEG-2 AFF)
  • Low Latency (<100ms available)
  • Superior Video Quality
  • Cost Effective High Reliability and Supportability

The NAC-3000 is available in a number of encoder models that support MPEG-1 for low bandwidth needs, MPEG-2 for low latency applications and MPEG-2 high quality for broadcast applications.

Optivision's mpegNet™ streaming engine is included with each unit. mpegNet supports IP multicasting, a broad range of MPEG profiles and video resolutions, and interoperates with existing Optivision network video products, including the LiveSystem Network Manager and LiveWare™ client software.
