LiveSystem MPEG-2 Systems
LiveSystem Video Networking Systems in combination with LiveWare client/server software provides a complete set of products and tools for building video intranets. LiveSystem systems input video and audio, digitize and compress the data using the MPEG compression standard, and output the data on a variety of network interfaces (T1, multiple T1s, V.35, RS530/449, 10/100 Ethernet, and 25/155 ATM).

LiveSystem then performs the opposite task at the receiving end, by decoding the compressed data and outputting broadcast quality analog audio and video. This video can be received by any Windows PC, set-top box, file server, or video server on the network. This enables customers to build distributed video networks that perform multiple functions:

Live Television	Live video content such as news, movies, speeches, and classes can be distributed onto most IP networks and viewed via the desktop or set-top box anywhere on the network.
Video-on-Demand	Stored video content can be played back from anywhere on the network, with the ability to pause, rewind, and fast-forward.
Store Live Television	By clicking a single button, the user can, at any time, pause for a short break or save live television to hard disk for viewing at a later date.
Interactive Applications	The web-based architecture allows customers to build very robust interactive applications for such uses as training, advertising, and promotions.
Web-Browser-Based Control	Complete video functionality such as view, save, rewind, fast-forward, and pause can be accessed and controlled from a web browser anywhere on the network.
